Wholesale inquiry: what to confirm for a larger order
What wholesale means here
A wholesale order is an order for more than one room: a school, an office floor, a chain of rooms fitted out together. The conversation is about the whole list of rooms, not about a single board, and it should start from that list.
This page therefore lists confirmations, not figures. Quantities, timing and terms belong in the inquiry, where they can reflect the real list of rooms rather than a general statement.
Confirm the whole list of rooms
The first confirmation is the whole list: every room, its use, and its wall or desk space. The largest room is easy to remember; the smaller rooms are where a standard answer most often fails, and they deserve the same attention.
A list with uses attached — classroom, meeting room, corridor, reception — lets the reply speak room by room instead of offering one answer for all of them.
Confirm staging and timing
Larger orders often arrive in stages: the urgent rooms first, the rest as they are ready. Staging should be confirmed early, because it shapes packing, delivery and the order in which rooms can be fitted out.
Timing belongs in the same conversation: when rooms will be ready, when boards are needed, and whether stages can move if a room runs late. Those are practical questions that repay an early answer.
Confirm spares and replacements
A larger order should confirm spares: boards wear, get damaged and get replaced, and a fit-out with no spares leaves its first damaged room waiting. Spares are a small part of a large order and a large part of its resilience.
Replacements deserve the same thought: whether matching boards will still be available later, and how a single replacement is ordered when the time comes.
What to put in your inquiry
A useful wholesale inquiry lists every room with its use, confirms staging and timing, and says whether spares should be part of the order.
Confirm the minimum order quantity and lead time for your order in your inquiry, and describe the fit-out so the reply can be specific.
